The main difference between the "Philips Hue Bloom Basis BT" and the slightly more expensive standard "Philips Hue Bloom" lies in the following aspects: ## Functionality and compatibility - The "Bloom Basis BT" is primarily designed for Bluetooth connectivity and can be operated without a bridge, albeit with limited functions. The standard "Philips Hue Bloom" can also be controlled via Bluetooth, but it offers additional functions when connected to a Hue Bridge, such as remote control, automations and a stable connection. ## Light output and colours - Both models offer a light output of up to 500 lumens and a colour temperature of 2000-6500 Kelvin. However, there are no specific differences in light output or colour quality between the two models. ## Prices and additional functions - The more expensive version might offer additional functions or better integration with other smart devices, especially when connected to a bridge. However, the basic version is less expensive and still offers a comprehensive smart lighting function via Bluetooth. ## Design and material - There are no significant differences in design or materials between the two models. Both are made of metal and plastic and have a similar size and shape. If you already have a bridge at home, investing in the more expensive standard version might make sense to utilise the full smart lighting features. However, if you only need a simple Bluetooth-based control, the "Bloom Basis BT" could be sufficient.

You can "splice" a cable and extend it that way. I suggest you go to an electrician and he will "splice" a professional extension for you. Length 10m is no problem.

Look for a serial number in the instructions or on the lamp itself. Usually it is a silver label. Then you should be able to add the lamp "manually" in the app using the serial number.

The Bloom Basis BT is a lamp where you have a lot of possibilities, colour selection etc.. If you only want to connect lamps without a function, it may "only" work with the APP. I have also had problems controlling the lamps directly. Then you have to bite the bullet and integrate the HUE Bridge, everything works fantastically, I have the whole house running on it, about 40 lights, LG Harry

yes, that is possible. However, note the following points: - If you switch off the Hue via the switch, it is no longer accessible via the app (and therefore no longer "smart"). - Settings via app are lost after three times on/off (short switching sequences) and Hue Bloom is back to factory settings, but still works (simply without specific settings...such as colour, dimming state etc.). - If you switch off the Hue via the app, you have to press the switch several times (usually twice).

Is it Starter Kit E27?

The Hue Bloom is a separate lamp, not a "light bulb" with an E27 base or something. Unfortunately, I cannot say whether the bulb of the Hue Bloom can be exchanged and which base it has (lamp not yet unscrewed). However, I am very satisfied with the Hue Bloom as a table lamp to better illuminate my work area on the desk. Currently, I control the Hue Bloom via Bluetooth (Philipps Hue BT App on iPhone), but I could also integrate it into the Hue system for routines via Hue Bridge. In order to control a lamp with an E27 base, it needs the Hue Bridge (unless it is the BT version of this lamp, in which case it does not necessarily need the Bridge, but it is recommended). Digitec has various starter kits for E27 lamps. Often only the price differs (because of different suppliers), sometimes also slight differences in the kit content. It is also important to note whether White Ambiance or White or White & Color Ambiance is selected. I hope this helps you a little.
