Yes - it has an internal flash and is also sufficient for normal shots. Indirect flash is not possible.
For us as a training centre it is. We use it for video tutorials that the students have to create for different topics/modules. There are certainly better cameras for this, but for us the D3400 is completely sufficient, and in terms of price we think it is a real bargain, regardless of whether you are taking photographs or videos .......... or filming. :)
