Regarding this great discount offer to my Digitec watch list, concerning this professional Nikkor Zoom AF-S VR 24 - 70mm f/2,8E ED IF, I'm still waiting a bit. Because recently, in another shop, I got a discount and sale price of Fr.1700.-. That's why I haven't yet taken advantage of the Digitec sale discount offers. I am still unsure whether to buy these Mega Zoom Nikkor lenses Professional Series. Since I want to switch from Nikon D800 Reflex to the new Mirrorless Systems Z 7-II or sometime if one comes out (Z8), then I prefer to buy the ZS Profi Zoom. But if I decide to buy a D850, I will take it immediately, if the discount offers are still available, I would like to buy it from Digitec. For me it is still only a decision in my mind. Thank you.

Hello, At Nikon, this lens is published with an immediate 200.- discount if purchased until January 15th. According to Nikon, Digitec is one of the authorised dealers. Unfortunately nothing on your website. Is there still a 200.00 discount or does Digitec publish a price that already takes this discount into account?

I bought a Nikon cashback lens from digitec a few years ago. If nothing has changed since then, the cashback is not included in the price of digitec.ch. After the purchase, you had to go to the Swiss Nikon website and register your lens in order to receive the cashback for the product concerned.

What does the letter "E" behind the speed value mean on the 24-70? and what does the letter "G" mean on the new 70-200?

E means Electromagnetic Iris Mechanism An electromagnetic iris mechanism in the lens directly controls the iris blades with a servo. This ensures a particularly high level of precision and consistency of exposure, which is especially useful for fast continuous shooting. With conventional lenses, including type G and D, the diaphragm blades are controlled from the camera body via a mechanical coupling. G means NIKKOR type G lens (This is explained a little better in the English Glossary). G-NIKKORE lenses do not have an aperture ring. The aperture is adjusted on the camera body.
