Yes, the headset can be used with the MixAmp for PC. It has a 3.5 mm jack connection and is compatible with PC/MAC in combination with the MixAmp Pro TR, which was specially developed for PC and consoles such as PlayStation and Xbox. The MixAmp Pro TR also offers advanced audio features such as Dolby Audio and enables precise control of inputs and outputs for gaming applications on the PC.

The PlayStation version of the headset does not work directly with the Xbox MixAmp, as there are different MixAmp versions for Xbox and PlayStation. The Xbox MixAmp is compatible with Xbox Series X|S and PC/MAC, while the PlayStation MixAmp is designed for PlayStation 4 and PC/MAC. Although the headset is technically similar, the MixAmps are not compatible with each other.

For streaming, I would use a studio microphone. RØDE NT-USB (home studio, podcasting) otherwise, the headset is good to very good. The sound is clear and you can adjust a lot with the Astro Command Center driver. but there is also a streaming output. i don't know what you need for that. and yes, suitable for computers. ;) Kind regards

first of all, the cable from the heatset to the tr or from the tr to the pc? one is an aux cable and the other is an usb. you can buy both cables. the best thing to do is to take this def. cable and go to the dealer. he will certainly be able to give you the right one.

Astro Gaming A40 TR + MixAmp Pro This should work for the Play Station, if you have the Ps4 Slim you will need to connect the headset via USB as the Slim does not have an optical audio port. You also have to connect the MixAmp to the PC first and download software from the Astro support site to update the MixAmp, at least that's how it was for me with the Xbox Series X.

I think it only works with MixAmp. I also had it without and it didn't work for me either. The software, as I understand it, is only for the MixAmp. I recommend you to get it... with MixAmp definitely in the top 3 headsets there are.

Yes, the headset can be plugged directly into the controller. Then set in the audio menu of the PS4 whether everything or voice chat should run via the headset.

According to the description, the headset works with the Playstation 5, the upcoming new Playstation that will be available from mid-November. The headset is connected via the 3.5mm headphone jack. Hope this helps. Greetings, 4marco

Hello Ueli I bought the product and can tell you that no additional ear pads are included. However, there are different mod kits from Astro (e.g. https://www.digitec.ch/de/s1/product/logitech-astro-a40tr-mod-kit-blue-ww-over-ear-black-blue-kopfhoerer-10144676). As far as I know, these are then closed. But so far I play with the open system and hear steps and details very precisely (play MW: Warzone) - you can also try it out without the mod kit first and then get these in addition if the ambient noise is so loud that you need the closed pads.
