Does this thing actually work? I'm a bit sceptical because I've been looking for an extractor before and only had problems. The extractor I had could only be switched on and worked for a short time after installation. Shortly afterwards, it no longer worked. That's why I'm always a bit cautious with such devices.

Received the thing today, plugged it in between the laptop and the projector, works well, the sound on the mixer is good quality. BUT! I unplugged the HDMI cable from the laptop and plugged it back in later. The laptop died immediately! Could it be that this Lindy HDMI Audio Extractor is feeding voltage back into the HDMI?

No, a correctly built HDMI audio extractor must not feed any voltage back into the HDMI. If your laptop has died as a result, there may be a defect or faulty design.

Hello everyone I am looking for an adapter from HDMI in (from BluRay player) to HDMI out (TV with speakers) and additionally 3 mini jack outputs; green, black and xxx for a Logitech Surround System. Do you have anything like this? Greetings, Liggi

No, it only comes with a USB cable for connection to a standard USB (A) power supply.

Does it output the audio signal on both outputs (Cinch, Toslink) simultaneously? Or is only Cinch active with the "Stereo" setting and only Toslink with the other?

Indeed, this device has its own peculiarities and does not always output the sound even with Cinch alone! I therefore use it only rarely.

Can I control the volume on this extractor via HDMI CEC? In my chain, since I switched to Sunrise and AppleTV, I can no longer control the volume on any device and everything is dependent on an HDMI receiver. However, I don't want to replace my old amplifier at all and therefore need an audio extractor that can control the volume.

Hello, according to the technical specifications, the device offers: Special Features: CEC Pass-through. I bought the device because the audio output of the Raspberry Pi 3 is not usable. The Lindy takes the picture signal via HDMI and routes it directly to the TV. The audio signal (also via HDMI) is extracted by Lindy and routed to the stereo system. The volume is controlled by the amplifier.
