The prices are made up of supply and demand, as well as different suppliers and daily prices. The high price difference is also due to the fact that the red machine is offered by the marketplace dealer Houseware and we have no influence on the pricing. We have the black machine in stock and it is sourced from another supplier, so we can currently also make a good offer. This also applies to the price difference to the KSM7990.

So I also have the big Kitchenaid 7580, with me I could put the mincer from the Artisan Kitchenaid my parents own on normally and use it ...

We ourselves have the device for currently 726.- (bought in 2019). I also asked myself at the time where exactly the differences are? I searched through everything, tried google, but didn't come up with a common denominator. But in my opinion, these devices are identical in construction and perhaps differ in the accessories supplied or the coating. Maybe a Digitecler knows more? Otherwise, I can only warmly recommend the appliance. We use the set several times a week and wouldn't want to miss the size of the dish. Ok, there are six of us and we might make slightly larger quantities, but the small one doesn't come into the house. Superb workmanship, looks chic, fits perfectly under the wall units (you don't have to keep feeding it for long with this weight) and the size of the bowl was clearly the deciding factor. I had several Kenwoods before. But I don't want to go back. Greetings

Well, not really, because the dish is mounted on the two levers by design. But of course you can simply place a smaller one underneath. Of course, the smaller one is not locked in place. But we wouldn't give the Artisan away. The small one is not an alternative either. We have NEVER missed a smaller bowl....

It is not optimal. It works but I have changed to portions of 800g to 1kg minimum. Otherwise, you struggle a bit. I bought this model because of the DC motor but if you will constantly use it for small portions, I would go with a smaller one. (FYI, I returned the machine 3 times because the box was always open plus other problems with the device)

I am thinking of changing. 1kg bread dough doesn't work in the 4.8l bowl - I manage 1 sourdough bread a 700g with it (so approx. 500g flour plus approx.300ml water) ... if I want to make more I have to stir it in 2 bowls and then combine them.

No, unfortunately we cannot offer the desired food processor as it is End-Of-Life. Alternatively, we can offer the machine in red: KitchenAid Artisan KSM7580 (6.90l) In medallion silver we also have the following model variant: KitchenAid KSM7990 Professional (6.90l) Otherwise we have the following Kitchenaid kitchen machines in silver: https://www.galaxus.ch/de/s2/producttype/kuechenmaschine-170?pdo=1563-10526:3379&bra=692&tagIds=41-107

Good evening, my personal opinion is that if you buy a pro model you can make smaller quantities with a 6l bowl anyway, so there is no real point in using a smaller bowl. You might as well buy a KSM150 type model with a 4.8L capacity. We are a family of 4 and I am delighted with the KSM150, I also bought the KSM7580 and I find it less practical so it is really useful for pros and less for a family.
