Hello Yvonne I also have a JBL Bar 9.1 and it has worked perfectly since I bought it last autumn. About your "case": it doesn't sound good at all. You could try a new (premium?) HDMI cable. Who knows .... Otherwise, the only thing to do is to have it checked and repaired under warranty - and in the best case - replaced. Good luck!

Have you set up the speakers via the Google Home app? Usually the firmware is not up to date and an update can fix the problem. The calibration worked perfectly for me afterwards. Just make sure that the remote control is with you, the microphone in the remote control is free and only remove the detachable speakers after the SoundBar has started up.

I measured it manually. It is exactly 5.8 cm from the floor where it is placed. But I hope they don't want to put it somewhere "underneath". Because this thing has upfiring speakers for Atmos. If there's something in the way, the bar's usefulness is somewhat counteracted.
