Our soundbar crackles, hisses and crackles, especially when switching. We had the problem directly after the purchase, but nothing could be found. But then everything was ok and now it's happening again. It was completely disconnected from the power supply for 3 weeks, FaceTime wasn't there and yesterday everything was connected and there it was again! What could it be?

I also have a JBL Bar 9.1 and it has worked perfectly since I bought it last autumn. About your "case": it doesn't sound good at all. You could try a new (premium?) HDMI cable. Who knows ....
Otherwise, the only thing to do is to have it checked and repaired under warranty - and in the best case - replaced. Good luck!
