No problem. Simply carry the vacuum cleaner to the other floor, put it down somewhere and press the start button. When the vacuum cleaner is finished, it moves back to the same spot and signals with a beep. The charging station is not needed.

My battery is also starting to age a lot, it's not holding up well any more. I also regularly have to clean the metal paste that does the charging on the base. I've noticed that it doesn't work very well when there's little light. The guidance system must need a bit of light.

Hello Pierhoefer Thank you for your question. No, unfortunately this is not possible with the Roomba 980. We are sorry not to be able to give you more positive feedback. Please feel free to contact us directly with any further questions or uncertainties. Best regards, Your iRobot Team

Hello TheGloryV Correct, both devices need to learn the Smart Map themselves as they create the SmartMap differently for their applications. For example, thresholds and carpets are obstacles on the Braava Jet m6, but not on the Roomba s9. Best Regards Your iRobot Team

I don't know the difference. The difference can certainly be found on the internet. I can only contribute my experience as a user. The 980 is top! I would buy it again and again. It works perfectly. We use it every day. Because of our dog, there is always dog hair on the floor. During the dog walk (our dog doesn't love the 980) we have it vacuumed. Works well. Goes well into corners and over carpets. Everything can be controlled from the app. Simply a relief in the household.

The problem is colour changes to black, e.g. on carpets. These are interpreted as holes and are bypassed. There is no solution, but according to iRobot, the i and s series do not seem to have the problem: https://homesupport.irobot.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/646/~/will-my-roomba%C2%AE-work-on-dark-or-black-surfaces%3F

We already had these in our range. Unfortunately, we can't get any from our supplier at the moment. The delivery time at the German shop is also a little longer. However, as soon as we have the possibility to obtain the devices again, we will offer the hoovers. Unfortunately, we do not know how long this will take.
