Pretty cool, an i5 6600k would do for the graphics card but if you have the money why not. Make sure the cables fit the power supply, they are for corsair PSU's. KA if they fit here as well. The cpu cooler is too high for the case, either get a bigger case or a smaller cooler. (it also doesn't match in colour.) (the ram sticks don't match in colour either, prefer hyper x sticks). An HDD for mass storage was also recommended.

VR gaming is more about the GPU than the CPU. I use this CPU myself together with a GTX1080 TI and an HTC Vive Pro and have had no performance problems so far.

Switching to a 6700k won't do much good. It's simply not worth it. I would switch to a Ryzen system. Either the current generation or, if you can wait, the new one in summer/autumn.
