Hello all I want to upgrade from my I5 6400 and I don't know if I should go for this I7 6700k or buy a b450 motherboard and an AMD Ryzen 2600. I mainly want a good gaming performance my graphics card is an Asus GTX 1060 Turbo. Thanks for your answers

Switching to a 6700k won't do much good. It's simply not worth it.

I would switch to a Ryzen system. Either the current generation or, if you can wait, the new one in summer/autumn.

I am very satisfied with the processor and would buy it again. However, it must be taken into account that the replacement of the processor does not bring much noticeable additional performance.
