The HP Color Laser MFP 178nwg is generally compatible with Linux, as there are official drivers from HP. However, there are reports that the driver can cause problems under certain Linux distributions or versions, especially when printing. TWAIN/WIA is supported for the scanner, which works on Linux with the appropriate tools. It is recommended to download the latest drivers directly from the HP website and check compatibility with your specific Linux distribution.

There are many different manufacturers of compatible toners. You can find them everywhere, including here. However, I cannot make any further recommendations because I have always bought the original toner, including here. I would like to give the following reason for this. If the compatible toners are 50% cheaper than the originals, then there's a reason for it and I want to enjoy my printer for longer...

Yes, but the toner has been emptied, which is not the case at all sales outlets. But it's a shame that the toner runs out very quickly.

As far as I know, the "G" stands for Germany and it is possible that the display and menu navigation of the "NW" is in English. Everyone has to decide for themselves. It may still work on the printer display. But when it comes to the settings that you want to make specifically via the PC - you'll just have to see... If in doubt, ask for more information or ask Dr. Google.

The "G" stands for "German", i.e. the German-speaking region. The version without the "G" is a "grey import", i.e. it was not originally imported for the German-speaking countries. In addition, the version without the "G" has a slightly lower printing speed. (Source: https://www.druckerchannel.de/forum.php)

I can only say that I am not an electronics salesman for HP products. However, I have Google and Youtube at my disposal. Which I have used for you in this case. Just copy the following link into the search line of your browser. https://www.druckerchannel.de/forum.php If you are unsuccessful, the "G", as far as I know, stands for "Germany" and means to me that the menu navigation of the NW model is not available in German. If that doesn't bother you, then the possible grey import of the NW should work just like the NWG. But this is all a question of price and your decision alone. Please note that I have now only assumed the menu navigation of the printer (displays). I cannot tell you whether this also applies to the language in the apps on the PC, tablet or mobile phone. But just try it yourself with the help of my two friends Google and Youtube. With best regards and best wishes for the New Year Jörg Kleinwächter

Good evening - I would say yes, as the driver is "an app" that you find in the app-store (https://apps.apple.com/us...) - either it is native "apple silicone", or it is partly emulated by rosetta2 on M1. I saw nothing, that it would not be compatible, so I installed the app on my M1 (Monterey, but I think it works for BigSur too) and it ran - I'm pretty sure it will run on the Mac M1 - but no guarantee (I don't work for Digitec, nor galaxus) Sincerely.
