There is nothing to add to this. Of course, you can print via Wi-Fi and the connections are at the back. There would also be little space for it at the front, because that's where we have the cartridge slot and below that the paper tray, which makes a lot of sense in my opinion.

The information from HP is misleading. It probably has to do with the note on page 9 in the manual. In any case, WLAN is available.
With non-PC devices it is possible to print via Wifi Direct (see Mobile printing functions in the specs).
The USB port is on the back.
