Good day, My device: Garmin DriveSmart 55 Full EU MT-D (5.50") Here I found the following answer at Garmin "Product models with the suffix MT receive traffic data from an OTA transmission signal via the integrated traffic radio receiver and the supplied car connection cable (receiving traffic data via a traffic radio receiver). All product models can receive traffic data via the Garmin Drive™ app without a subscription (receiving traffic data via smartphone)." Hope this helps Kind regards JK
This is not the case with my unit, the settings are saved. I cannot say why it is not saved on this unit. Either it's in the manual or the unit is defective.

In Switzerland it is now in operation, in France DAB+ is apparently not yet in operation nationwide, whether traffic radio is available in France via DAB+ I cannot judge.
The device is a piece of crap. I returned it after 2 days because I had the same problem. I can only advise you to exchange it for a better device.

Yes, I have already used it myself. The waypoints can be created on the device itself or via Basecamp. Then the route can be defined very easily on the device. Creating a route on Basecamp and transferring it does not work. In general, the device works very well.
