In a review here I read that the speed limit cannot be switched off. With the earlier models, you could switch it off. Can you really not switch it off here?
You can configure the speeding acoustic alarms individually, both in town and out of town. From 5km/h or 10km/h or switch off. On the navigation system, however, the speed indicator still changes to red when the maximum speed is exceeded. However, acoustic alarms are muted.
In addition, the setting Change speed limit can be switched on or off with the new firmware. There are then no more acoustic alarms, but visually there is still an orange bar that warns you visually about 200 to 400 m before a change in the limit.
Can be switched off. In town and/or out of town
Yes, it's true, i.e. so far I haven't found a way to turn it off. It keeps ringing even if you have switched off all the future for navigation. This is very tedious and in Switzerland it is constantly ringing. I hope that Garmin will make this available with a next update. Otherwise the device will be thrown on the next electronic scrap heap.
