Hello Kirchberger! I have installed ScanSnap Organizer and Adobe Acrobat XI Standard from the supplied disks and all are in German. The selection of what to do with a scanned image is written in English. About ... "ABBY scan to Word" or "Scan to Google Drive" as well as "Scan to Picture Folder". So far, this is the only thing I have found in English. I hope this has helped a little. Greetings

According to our information, the ABBYY Reader is part of the scope of delivery.
The Rack2-Filer software supplied is not compatible with Mac, but the scanner itself is! You can find more information on compatibility on the manufacturer's website (http://www.fujitsu.com/global/support/products/computing/peripheral/scanners/scansnap/software/ix500.html) and in the data sheet.

Yes, photoscan is possible, but as you have correctly pointed out, the fed photos/documents are slightly bent.
