Yes, tested today with 14.2. No problem at all, it works perfectly. Oui, testé aujourd'hui en 14.2. Cela fonctionne sans problème.
The Perfection V39 scanner works for me with MacOS Ventura. I use it regularly and access it via "Printers & Scanners". I do not use the Epson applications.
Actually, this scanner is auto-powered by USB cable, there is no external power supply. If it doesn't turn on (blue light in front), there could be 2 reasons: - either it's defect and then you will need to change it - or your USB port is not providing enough power. This can happen on some laptops. Try to change USB port or another computer USB. If this is the case, you will need a USB hub with external power supply in order to provide enough energy to scanner.
Unfortunately, I don't know if the Epson V39 is compatible with Mac Big Sur, but my documents are always scanned at a slight angle, which bothers me.
Take a look at the quick installation guide that is attached under the Digitec product description. Click on the link on the right-hand side of picture 2 and go to the Epson website. Enter the product and search for the installer. You will then eventually come to the download. You still have to search a bit.
The scanner is excellent for scanning documents or photos. However, it does not have a "transparency unit", so - at least as I see it - it is not intended for scanning transparent originals.
