Questions about Epson EcoTank ET-8500

What size envelopes do I need to use with this printer? I often need to print envelopes in C5 format, would this be possible with this printer? Many thanks

Hello, I would like to draw your attention to the fact that your website displays incorrect information about the energy consumption of the Epson EcoTank ET-8500 and Epson EcoTank ET-8550 models. In the comparison, a value of 576000 W is given under "Performance" for the ET-8550, which is obviously an error. According to Epson's official technical data, the actual energy consumption for both models is approx. 17 W when printing, 7.5 W in standby mode and 0.8 W in sleep mode. I kindly ask you to correct this information to avoid further confusion for customers. Kind regards Tomasz

I see "no switch off" in various reviews. In plain language, does this mean that the printer runs permanently in standby mode with a relatively high 7.5 W consumption?

How deep is the printer when the output flap is extended? I have very limited space. Thank you very much 🙏

Could you explain your pricing model? On 21.09, the price is 446CHF, then the next day (today, 22.09) the price becomes 536CHF, i.e. 90CHF more but with 50CHF cashback. This seems extremely negative for Digitec. I look forward to your comments.

Is ink for all colours of the printer included in the scope of delivery?

This printer (reduced because used) has no SPARE INK (as described). Does the original replacement ink come with it or just the 1 set of ink it takes to fill all 6 chambers once? And how do I know how much the previous customer printed? Are the chambers almost empty or almost full? Thanks digitec for the feedback!

Hello, in the Epson specifications, the category for the EcoTank ET-8500 is "single user". With other printers, however, it often says workgroup (or similar), sometimes with the addition of "recommended number of users", e.g. 1 to 5. Are there any restrictions on the EcoTank ET-8500 in this respect when used by multiple users? Thank you for your feedback!

Are the ink bottles included in the package?

Epson's warranty extension campaign extends the warranty to 3 years. However, if I choose the Digitecoption extension to 5 years, it assumes a 2-year standard warranty. So if I understand correctly, it would be one year double warranty (1x Digitecoption and once Epson action). Or does the warranty then extend to 6 years? Thanks for the answer!

Our experience with the predecessor ET 7700 was that after a relatively short time it caused large ink blots on all media. Head cleaning did nothing but cause a lot of ink to be wasted. In addition, both the Expression XP55 and the ET7700 caused the carriage to move to the left and right only about once every 30 seconds when printing CDs after about 6 prints. Disconnecting from the mains and rebooting did not help. The best print quality of photos or CD printing, but unfortunately a hardware failure for the second time in a row. What about the ET8500 in this respect?
