Since I'm an absolute beginner and have no comparison, I'm afraid I can't contribute much that makes sense. I'm still struggling with the basics: grind, constant tamping,... and I get quite different "shots"... I will probably take the machine to a course. I just had the machine on and checked: 1. the pressure is constant at 9 bar with normal sieve and blind sieve. 2. I had imagined that frothing would be less complicated. I have to "pull" for a very long time to achieve a reasonable volume. But there is quite a lot of steam coming out. I have a cheap jug. In the well-known online videos it always looks much shorter: pull briefly and then roll. That's it. There is a connection between boiler temperature and steam pressure. Yesterday I turned it up to 122°. Give ECM a call. They are very nice. I'd be happy to hear back about what's causing the high pressure.
I think this is the wrong machine if you don't have time. Preparing a coffee or cappuccino takes time. And after enjoying it, the machine also needs to be cleaned. The same goes for the grinder. If little attention is paid to cleaning, it will soon take its toll. After just three weeks. Otherwise, a very great coffee machine. Mine heats up in about 10 minutes. And I need this time to grind the beans, tamp and preheat the cups.
What kind of offer do you want from Digitec?
The pump pressure can be adjusted - slotted screw on the underside - there is a YouTube about it. Have fun
