True, it is deceptively presented. Also the 10 km range, this only applies in the USA. Europe has max. 6km according to the manufacturer. Perhaps this will be corrected here

Look in the app under Settings (three dots at the top right) and then under Safety. There you can set the maximum altitude and flight distance.

Yes, it works wonderfully! The drone also masters curves excellently.
Since 2020, according to DJI, all drones weighing 250 grams or more would have to be equipped with Airsense.

I also have a Mavic Air 2. I have flown up to 2000 m in the mountains with good direct visual contact without any problems. The problem can be obstacles that interfere with the connection. Or a no-fly zone according to maps stored with the Mavic, here the Mavic does not fly without permission. You can also select the frequencies in the settings.

Hi, the smart controller also goes for the new M Air 2, coming as a Ub Date from dji , when, in a month.

Otherwise install the apk.file via mobile browser from dji.
That should work.
It works fine for me, I have a Huawei P40.

Did fly 10 hours with the mavic 2 in mild spring temperatures (20 deg). No issues observed yet. Overall quite happy and impressed...
