No, it is not. It doesn't have any buttons to adjust, but you can adjust the bass and treble in the HEOS app in the device settings.
I had a similar problem, a factory reset didn't help either. Possibly there was a connection with sw updates. I returned the unit under warranty and Denon repaired it (reinstalled the sw?). It took a while but afterwards it worked again...

Unfortunately, I can't answer this question because I only control the speaker via the iPhone or the Mac. But that works flawlessly...
I don't use the Google Home app. Unfortunately, I can't answer your question. But otherwise I am very, very satisfied with the speaker. Really great sound. And the operation with Spotify and iPhone via the wifi network at home is simple and reliable.
We were also misled by the product description and thought that the unit could run independently of the mains, but when we pulled out the plug, nothing worked. It also has no ON/OFF button. Maybe we missed something, but it runs fine on mains power and the sound is good :-)
