The Delock USB cable Type-C to HDMI (DP Alt Mode) with the product ID 84904 is designed to connect a HDMI monitor to a device with a USB-C™ or Thunderbolt™ 3 port. However, it has some limitations that are relevant to the new MacBook Air with M3 chips: - This cable supports up to 4K resolution at 60 Hz, but it does not support higher refresh rates like 144 Hz. - MacBook Air models with M3 chips can theoretically achieve 4K at 144 Hz, but this specific cable is capped at 60 Hz. Therefore, while this cable will work with the new MacBook Air with M3 chips for connecting a HDMI monitor, it will not support the higher refresh rates that the M3 chip is capable of. If you need to achieve 144 Hz, you would need a different adapter or cable that supports HDMI 2.1 or another compatible standard.
Automatically generated from the .I use the cable as a Note Book TV connection. That works.
My screen is old and only has a hdmi connection, usb-c did not exist at that time. That's why I couldn't use a usb-c to usb-c cable. That it should work from the laptop via usb-c to the screen hdmi I can therefore confirm from my own experience, in the other direction, however, I can not confirm, but it would surprise me exxxtremely if not... are we already so far that screens no longer have hdmi connections? 😅
Yes, based on the supported bandwidth, this should work without any problems.
The cable only goes from USB-C to HDMI monitor. You're describing the opposite way, which doesn't work.
no, pure video transmission
