Unfortunately, the docking station does not support USB Power Delivery, so you cannot charge the laptop via the USB-C port of the docking station, which is very impractical for laptops with only one USB-C port. Otherwise, I can highly recommend the docking station, it is very portable and has all the ports you need on the road. Greetings
The Dell DA300 USB-C Mobile Adapter does not support connecting two monitors simultaneously. It is designed to support only one video output at a time, whether through HDMI, DisplayPort, or VGA.
Since the DA-300 does not support Tunderbolt, you can use any USB-C extension cable. Thunderbolt is only important in connection with Apple devices and external hard discs or other high-speed devices.
Here is a USB-C extension cable: OWC 0.5 Meter USB-C Extension Cable - Black Colour USB 3.2 (10Gb/s) There are also other shorter or cheaper ones, see the corresponding section.
I tried it with the Dell adapter connected to a new 16" Macbook Pro and the Superdrive from Apple. Unfortunately it doesn't work, there is a message in macOS Cataline with: "USB Accessory Needs Power - Connect "Apple USB Superdrive" to a USB port on this Mac."
I think it is technically possible with a USB-C to USB-A adapter, like this one: Satechi USB 3.0 zu (USB-C, 2.74cm)
Or you can try to get a Dell DA100 USB 3.0 adapter.
The official product page on the Dell website states that it is Thunderbolt and USB-C compatible (link: https://www.dell.com/fr-ch... see "Additional Product Information" section at the bottom of the page).
It is therefore compatible with all computers using these standards, including Apple computers with USB-C ports.
