I have a MacBook Pro and am looking for an adapter to which I can also connect my external Superdrive. Does anyone know if this works with the DA300? Unfortunately, it doesn't work with the Satechi hubs.

I tried it with the Dell adapter connected to a new 16" Macbook Pro and the Superdrive from Apple. Unfortunately it doesn't work, there is a message in macOS Cataline with: "USB Accessory Needs Power - Connect "Apple USB Superdrive" to a USB port on this Mac."

The adapter works on my girlfriend's MBP 13. Unfortunately, I cannot say whether the drive works on the adapter.
