At most, the power supply could be problematic (54W at 12V) if you install power-hungry fans. Examples: For Corsair iCUE QL120 RGB the specification is 0.3A x 12V (6x fans) = approx. 21.6W / 12 fans approx. 43.2W Noctua NF-A14 PPC 3000 PWM 0.55A x 12V (6x fans) = 39.6W The internal control etc. also needs power, of course, you don't want to load the connections to the maximum (usually approx. 80% of the max. possible load, which results in approx. 43.2W). Theoretically possible, as long as not all fans are used to their maximum capacity over a longer period of time, if you have 0.3A x 12V fans as in the example.

This case supports up to six 3-pin or 4-pin DC or PWM fans. However, neither the brand nor our supplier indicates this detail, I'm sorry. ): I'll leave the question open in case someone could have tested it in this context.

In addition to the LED strips, the Lighting Kit also includes "extension cables". You can go quite far with them (e.g. out of the housing under the desk). But as far as "different places" are concerned, it depends on what you have planned. In the end you have two "strings of lights". Not 8 strips that are controlled individually by the Commander Pro. But in the chain they are also easier to control. The extension pieces also fit between the LED strips. So you are quite flexible.

You only have 2 LED inputs...So yes you can control the LEDs of the 2 fans (or LED strips) you plug into it via iCue but you'd better get a Corsair RGB Fan LED Hub which allows you to plug 6 LEDs into 1 LED output, so you'll only have to deal with one LED input of your PRO controller.

Is it absolutely necessary?

No, it's just easier because you don't connect all the fans directly to the mainboard, but somewhere behind the mainboard, so there's also a bit more cable management. But no, you don't need it.

Yes you can. You just need two commander core, then you can supply 12 fans with rgb but only six for the rotation. It would make more sense for you to get a node pro and two commander cores for the rotation either via the board if you have enough connections or simply split it with Y-connectors so that you can run two fans on one connection. Of course, you can also buy 2 commander pro, but that would be the more expensive option.
