In addition to the LED strips, the Lighting Kit also includes "extension cables". You can go quite far with them (e.g. out of the housing under the desk). But as far as "different places" are concerned, it depends on what you have planned. In the end you have two "strings of lights". Not 8 strips that are controlled individually by the Commander Pro. But in the chain they are also easier to control. The extension pieces also fit between the LED strips. So you are quite flexible.
