If the TV or any receiver connected in between also supports this, it works with this cable. In any case, it works for me without any problems. However, there is currently speculation that the 120Hz mode is only activated for supported games. The activation is automatic. There is no manual option to set this on the console.

Hello and good day, so, if I understand the question correctly, the "old" HDMI cable works between the Swisscom TV box and the TV. And the "new" cable does not.
According to my understanding, the PIN assignment for the cable is given and must work. So it seems to me that there is a fault in the cable or in the PIN contacts (HDMI plug) in the cable.
By the way, the HDMI cable between the Swisscom TV box and the Sony TV works for me. I also use the same cable between the TV and the Denon amplifier and that works too.
Conclusion: I would consider the cable to be "defective" and have it exchanged.

I use the cable on a Denon AVR-X3600H and Dolby Vision with 60fps works perfectly with this cable. I also had problems before. However, I was so enthusiastic about this cable that I replaced all the HDMI cables I use with this one.

If you want to connect 2 devices, you also need 2 cables, unless you want to reconnect each time. With this cable you are on the safe side for the future. However, it is probably a bit too much for the Swisscom Box and a reciever.
You could also choose a cheaper variant. For example, this one:

It supports up to 4K resolution and is therefore sufficient.

I would use a "Club 3D Premium High Speed HDMI 2.0 4K60Hz UHD" or even the "Club 3D Ultra High Speed HDMI 10K 120Hz".
The following cables would have to be replaced:
- PC to AVR
- AVR to TV
Then 4K60P with HDR should be possible.
It is important to activate the extended colour space on the receiver and the TV; I had to activate this additionally on the receiver and the TV.
