does it also support eArc or do you need special ones for a sound system?

eARC (audio return channel) is a function of connected equipment.
For a qualitative transmission of audio (eARC) with a high bit rate, only ultra-high-speed HDMI cables or high-speed HDMI cables (with Ethernet) should be used ... see also https://www.sony.ch/de...
Provided that the connected devices support eARC, this is no problem with this cable.
