I've had the printer for a while now. As it is a laser printer, there is no ink that dries out. We are very satisfied
But of course it works!
After each page you are asked if you want to scan more pages.

Digitec (or any other Swiss retailer) is obliged to supply electrical appliances with a Swiss plug. If the appliance is supplied with a foreign plug, a suitable replacement cable should be supplied if the mains cable is pluggable or alternatively if the mains cable is permanently connected, a suitable adapter should be supplied.

This printer can generate its own special WiFi so that you can print something without a cable. This function is called WiFi-Direct by Brother.

Yes, the toner lasts a really long time, there are 2 sizes, 1200 and 3000 sheets, if I'm not mistaken.

Unfortunately no.
With Brother, this only works from the Brother MFC-L2750DW and upwards.
Yep, a toner is provided in the package. It has code TN-2410. Another compatible one is TN-2420 (bigger than the TN-2410)
So yes, you can run the scanner from your computer. And so yes stcoker on the desktop and in pdf format.
I have never tried it like this before. The printer runs to my utmost satisfaction.
The printer prints double-sided without any problems, so it might work.
Otherwise, scan the document and print on both sides.
Colour scan: I don't know of any scanners today that can't do this.
Duplex scan: No
Unit has no USB port or card reader to save files directly, so only possible via computer to stick.
Document scan: PDF scan is possible

Scanning from ADF is single-sided. According to the manual, only the L2750DW has double-sided scanning.

Toner for ~700 pages are inserted. 2-Sided printing is automatic, if you select in printer driver.

Duplex on the printer (lower part that prints on the paper) is automatic. It simply has to be selected in the printer driver because it is optional.
The document feeder (ADF, upper part that scans the documents) is NOT automatic. If you want to scan or copy double-sided documents "easily", the top model MFC-L2750DW would be the right choice.

No, with devices of this size it is not possible to place an additional tray underneath as an option. For Brother mono laser machines with the DR-3400 drum, one or more additional trays (=LT-5500, LT-6500, etc.) are possible.
The LT-5400 mentioned by you fits to an older series with DR-3300 which is hardly available as "new" today because it has been replaced by the new series (with DR-3400) for more than 2 years.
