Yes, Windows 11 uses the same driver models as Windows 10:
ChromeOS (supports native ChromeOS printing)
Linux (CUPS, LPD/LPRng (x86/x64 environment))
macOS (10,14,x, 10,15,x, We recommend using AirPrint from 11,0,x)
PCL Drivers (Generic PCL XL driver)
PostScript (Driver for Windows that enables you to print to any network or locally connected Brother laser printer that supports PostScript)
Windows (10, 8), Server (2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2, 2016, 2019)
The printer itself does not come with ink cartridges. Ink cartridges must be purchased separately. The Brother MFC-J5740DW uses four ink cartridges: Black, cyan, magenta and yellow.
Yes, the MFC-J5740DW printer allows you to send scans directly by e-mail, including to Outlook. The printer supports the "Scan to E-mail" function, which allows you to send documents directly to various e-mail addresses, including Outlook, via an e-mail server.
Hello Dinger 10, the solution is quite simple: with the manual feed on the back of the printer, you first insert the paper and then you have to press the small grey rocker lever so that the sheet slides down. Then it is fed in correctly. I can send you a photo, but I need your phone number for SMS or WhatsApp. Greetings Francs
Yes, I also checked before placing the order. I had to throw my HP in the rubbish because it only wanted the original after an update.
Better not to update!
This should be more of a problem for the paper, inks don't run these days, but if the paper is exposed to rain I would wrap the printed paper in cling film.
To 1: Yes, it should work, but I have not tried it myself. See https://www.brother.ch/de-ch...
To 2: Yes, but please note that when loading A3, the drawer protrudes 20 cm from the front, as the printer is obviously not deep enough for full-sided storage, and to insert A3 paper the front part of the drawer has to be pulled forward and then locks into place (ask if it is not clear what I mean :-) ). For A4, of course, the front is closed, as shown in the product pictures.
