The Brother printer does not recognise cartridge LC 123 even though the ink cartridge is full and the minimum shelf life is about one year.
Scanning also does not work if a cartridge is full but the date has expired.
It is a pity, because "scanning" does not need cartridges, but the manufacturer Brother does.
Presumably, planned obsolescence (planned wear and tear, product obsolescence) is a marketing strategy in which the obsolescence of a product is planned and conceptually intended by the manufacturer.
Too bad - really too bad ...
