The headphones are technically identical. The Special Edition is completely black and does not have the blue accents, and the upper padding is leatherette-like (from above) in the normal version. In my opinion, the Special Edition looks better.
We purchase the respective products from two different suppliers at different conditions, therefore the Android version is currently more expensive.
I can recommend the Aerocell from Lidl. They are the best batteries in the Kassensturz test, and if you put them in the fridge for a day before use, they last even longer. Unfortunately, I don't know much about rechargeable batteries, but these are certainly more sustainable. I hope this helps.
All Blackberrys are equipped with a 3.5mm jack connection. Therefore, the use of these headphones should not be a problem.
Here it has one in blue, but not available immediately Bose Headphone Cable for QuietComfort 25 (Blue, 1.4m)

Hello, the Android Remote headphones also work with an iPhone. I don't know what exactly the difference is. Anyway, I used to have an Android phone and then bought the headphones and now I have an iPhone and they work just as well.
I set many headphones as small as possible to fit me. This is also the case with these. So it's average size - and therefore probably too big for you.
Both variants have a cable with a 3.5mm connector and work with the Surface. The Android or iOS variant is only relevant for use with a corresponding smartphone (because of the remote control).
noise cancelling is on the headphone side and therefore also works without a mobile phone. despite the incredibly good function, the last ambient noises are, however, only completely faded out with additional sound. otherwise, a pamir might also help ;)
For connection to a stereo system, a transition plug is necessary (not included in the delivery). In my opinion, the Böse quiet-comfort is not suitable for this use. Its great strength lies in shielding against ambient noise when out and about. For use in the home, Böse has better headphones in its range. Noise cancellation always has a negative effect on the sound. Böse has achieved a very good compromise with the quiet comfort.
Yes, it also works without batteries, then simply without noise cancelling. No, but you can use rechargeable batteries ;-)
