Why are there iOS and Android versions? Do the headphones only work on the corresponding devices? Merci and greetings

Hello, the Android Remote headphones also work with an iPhone. I don't know what exactly the difference is. Anyway, I used to have an Android phone and then bought the headphones and now I have an iPhone and they work just as well.
