I own the DT 990 pro and I use it with the FiiO Dac E10 amp which sounds really good and I don't know any better price! You can also find it on Digitec.

The headphones are very comfortable and have a natural sound (no strong bass). Since it does not shield the ambient noise very much, you can still hear your surroundings. The cable is a spiral cable, at 2-3 metres I recommend an extension of the cable.... LG

Yes, the cable ends with a 3.5mm jack plug. The scope of delivery also includes an adapter that converts the 3.5 mm jack to 6.3 mm.

The 250 ohm Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro headphones can be used with the sound card of your ROG Strix 490 F, but there are a few points to consider: - Most laptops and PCs can power 250 ohm headphones, although the audio output power may vary depending on the computer model. In general, tests have shown that many laptops and PCs can provide sufficient volume for these headphones, although you may have to adjust the volume to 60-75% to get a comfortable listening level. - It is not mandatory to buy a dedicated sound card, but it might be useful if you want more power and better sound quality. An external sound card might offer better dynamics and sound fidelity, especially if you work with high-quality audio. - The 80 ohm DT 770 Pro headphones require less power to reach the same volume level, so they might be easier for your integrated sound card to handle. However, if you prefer the sound and features of the DT 990 Pro, there is no need to switch to the DT 770 Pro for that reason alone. In summary, the 250 ohm DT 990 Pro can work with your integrated sound card, but a dedicated sound card could improve the sound quality and power.

I ordered and received the DT 990Pro here at Digitec in April 23 and the Y sign is visible. So I guess that's still the case.

The headphones with 250 ohms are quite hungry and need proper hardware to be operated reasonably. According to gamepro.de, 80 ohms is the maximum that the controller can handle.

These headphones are less suitable for the Playstation because of the high number of ohms, as the sound is reproduced very quietly. The headphones can also only reproduce stereo and not surround, which can be important for some games. However, you can amplify the sound with a headphone preamplifier so that the volume is high enough. This would be an example: FiiO New K3 (Gain switch, Bass Boost, USB-DAC)

Is it loud enough for you or for your environment? Joking aside: If the audio output has a jack socket, you can connect the DT 990Pro. However, since they are open headphones, you will hear ambient noise. If you are in a noisy environment, I think a closed headphone would be a better choice. PS: Regarding sound quality: I don't use them for gaming, but for music production, and the sound quality is great. They are also very comfortable to wear because they are very light.

Hi Lebi, for a lot of bass I would recommend the 770pro, because it is closed. For producing music, it depends on the step you want to use it in. For recording I would also take the 770pro, but for the tuning of the music the 990pro is super suitable. Take a look at some videos on YouTube, there are some good ones on this topic.

Honestly, if you want the DT990 250ohm, then invest in a headphone amp. I myself had a DT990 connected to a Marketing Bla Bla "300ohm" external soundcard from Creative. Only when I bought the Fiio K5 Pro was the volume loud enough for me. Without proper KV's that provide enough juice, the DT990 simply sound too weak and quiet. Believe me, it's absolutely worth saving a little for an amp. My way was Superlux 681EVO>DT 990>DT 1990 PRO, as amp I use the perfect Fiio K5 Pro and the DT 1990 got a Dekoni Audio Elite Velour Ear Pad. Happy asf and absolutely worth it.😍
