Is there any necessary hardware that needs to be used in addition, such as a sound card or an amplifier or whatever else there is? I only have the sound card in my PC, which is already internal to the mainboard anyway. If it's helpful, my motherboard is the MSI MPG B550 Gaming Plus.

It depends, your mainboard must support the 250 Ohm. Not every on-board sound card can do this.

No, you need a simple 3.5mm stereo jack output and it works. At least that's what I do (on a Macbook Pro). In any case, the sound power is good enough for me.
