since the Z270 uses LG 1151, this cpu cooler should be compatible since it is quite large, however, it could come into conflict with the heat sinks of the voltage converters or with the ram. however, if you use low profile ram, this should not be a problem with the ram. possible problems with voltage converters can only be told by people who use or have tried exactly this combination.

The cooler itself covers 3 RAM slots, but the heat pipe does not come above the RAM slots. So you just have to look at the height of your RAM, so that it is not too high.

That depends on the RAM. I own the cooler myself and my Corsair LPX (low profile) don't get in the way. A small pro-tip is that you can move the fan horizontally.

You have to move the fan up a bit, so you might lose some cooling power, at least with 4 bars. Only the slot next to the CPU socket is blocked if you don't adjust the fan.

check that the fan is flush and straight on the processor. if the fan can be pushed a little on the processor as a test, then tighten the mounting screws crosswise. test again...good luck
