Only 20.9 mm clearance between the socket and the CPU fan (according to bequiet) seems very little to me when most RAMS are about 30 mm high. Or does the fan in the AM4 MB not protrude over the rams?
That depends on the RAM. I own the cooler myself and my Corsair LPX (low profile) don't get in the way. A small pro-tip is that you can move the fan horizontally.
