Generally what you like to do works. But the Aten CS1792 only Support 2 PCs. You would have to use CS1794 that supports 4 PCs. You can use this setup with a Docking station. Connect the Docking station to the Aten CS1792/CS1794 (Audio, USB-A, HDMI). Then Connect the Docking Station to the Lapotop using USB-C. The Mouse, Keyboard and Display connect directly to the Aten CS1792/CS1794. This Way you would have 1 Keyboard, 1 Monitor, 1 Mouse controlling your 3 Computers. (One at the Time)
Why an update? The switch works reliably for me as well. Otherwise, there is an adapter from COM to USB. But for the update it also needs a wired keyboard!
Yep, everything you need is included.
If you connect everything correctly, that even works!!! *facepalm"
I can at least say that the resolutions specified by the manufacturer are not the maximum. I use 2560x1440. The manufacturer promises only 1920 x 1200.
