I've been using the card for a good 1 1/2 months and haven't had any problems yet.

I was just interested too - unfortunately, it looks like it won't work with the x570:

Correct. The card did not meet expectations. Creative Sound Blaster Z (PCI-E x1) Hardware, software and sound quality super.

According to various reports online, this card works in Ubuntu 18.04.
the settings give 2; 4; 6 and 8 channels - channels 6+7 can only be controlled "virtually" anyway - that is, via the optical output. (this answer has no claim to completeness or correctness - I just had a quick look at the back of the PC to see what's there ... ;))
