Hey Sildi The headset comes with a 1.20m USB-C cable, then you have a 1m extension cable with a USB 3.0 connection if you don't have a USB-C port. Since many PS4 and PS5 headsets are compatible with each other, this should also work on your PS5. However, all the functionality and customisation options require a PC. For d5, I would recommend the Astro A50 headset, which I have been using on my PS4 for years. Hope that helps you. Greetings Yannic
The brand does not mention anything about this, maybe there is a software update to do? If the problem persists, we invite you to open a warranty case.
In handheld mode, the Switch supports mono and stereo sound. In TV mode, it also supports surround sound.
It's nice to hear that there are others who can't find a solution via the manufacturer. I haven't found anything about it anywhere either, and there's nothing on the manufacturer's website. If you find a solution, I would also be very happy about it.
No, it doesn't matter. The headset runs on USB 2.0. USB 2.0 is also available on USB-C, as it is on a USB 3.0 port. 4 of the 24 pins of USB-C are reserved for USB 2.0. You can easily use a USB extension cable. https://rog.asus.com/de/headsets-audio/headsets/usb-headsets/rog-theta-7-1-model/spec
Is an internal sound card (Dark hero 8 Asus) sufficient to provide enough power for the Theta Elect?
Yes absolutely. I connected it to my onboard sound card and it works perfectly.
The headset has real 7.1. whether the music can also be played back on different channels depends on your player and, of course, on the music used. if your music is only recorded in stereo, the headset can of course also only play back stereo, but this is then distributed over all the speakers. But by the way, it's a gaming headset, so I wouldn't get the depth of sound for listening to music. I'd recommend something from bose or sony. But for gaming, it's the best headset I've ever had, also in terms of sound with cleanly separated treble and channels, only the deep bass is a little lacking, so it's not suitable for me for pure music listening either.
