The headset has real 7.1. whether the music can also be played back on different channels depends on your player and, of course, on the music used. if your music is only recorded in stereo, the headset can of course also only play back stereo, but this is then distributed over all the speakers.

But by the way, it's a gaming headset, so I wouldn't get the depth of sound for listening to music. I'd recommend something from bose or sony.

But for gaming, it's the best headset I've ever had, also in terms of sound with cleanly separated treble and channels, only the deep bass is a little lacking, so it's not suitable for me for pure music listening either.
