Since this is a gaming monitor, these criteria are also met. If there are speakers on the monitor (I don't think so), the PS4 can also output the sound via the monitor (HDMI). For the casual console gamer, however, I would probably look for something cheaper.

Have you also connected the monitor via DisplayPort and not via HDMI? If you can't open the NVIDIA control panel at all, then I recommend uninstalling the graphics driver (actually everything from Nvidia), restarting and then reinstalling it.

No direct answer but Hdmi 1.4 at least supports 1920x1080 at 120Hz. Whether the newer versions go above 120Hz I don't know exactly. Just buy a Dp-cable 1.4, then you are on the safe side.
