Finally, an honest answer. When I read the other reviews here I start to wonder, especially with this comment from lava that I'm not laughing. On very high settings on 4 k very smooth hahahaha. Even the 1080ti has problems at 4k and manages about 50-60 fps. And this card is in competition with the 1080 and not with the 1080ti. But why should you talk bad about your own purchase? ;)
Hi Sarangan, I have had the ASUS ROG STRIX RXVEGA64 O8G GAMING since the beginning of January and am very happy with it. I have a FreeSync screen and game at 4K. All games run smoothly at high to very high levels. Compared to the nVidias cards, it does need more power under load, but from my point of view this is negligible, as I'm not gaming 24/7. I also appreciate AMD's progress in terms of technology, which I miss with nVidia - keyword HBM2, HBCC etc. I would buy the card again - but not at the current prices, which affects all mid- and high-end cards at the moment anyway.
I also have the Strix Vega and have always wondered about all the comments. The card seems to divide the community more than expected and since I couldn't understand some of the comments, I took some measurements and played with the settings. Out of the box, the fans rotate at max 33%. The card is barely audible, but the VRAM temperatures reach 120 degrees. The GPU is then at about 78 degrees and the card clocks around 1460 Mhz on average. If you manually adjust the fan curve (to full blast at 60 degrees ;-)), the fans spin at 100% and the card becomes clearly audible (as described by other customers). On the other hand, the GPU only gets up to 62-65 degrees and the VRAM only up to 80 degrees. This leads to the card clocking higher on average, around 1520 MHz. So there are three settings: - slower and quiet - faster and loud - faster and quieter only with modified cooling Greetings
Yes, we have them in use with Razer Core X
Yes, the GPU needs a PCI-E x16 which the MSI B450 Mortar has.
One of the differences is the number of fans. The more fans, the better the cooling, i.e. the later the card clocks down in order not to overheat when it is heavily loaded. Furthermore, there is a "Compare" function here in the shop. With "Compare" you can display several graphics cards side by side as a list, for example, so you can see the differences very clearly. https://www.digitec.ch/de/Comparison/7198095-8156857-7726240. Basically, all Vega 64 cards are very similar. The differences lie in the various connections and cooling. Regarding MAC, this should work: https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT208544. Of course, it depends on the MAC. Google is your friend.
No idea, maybe the info hasn't reached digitec yet... at worst buy elsewhere if it's cheaper :)
