In this case, the cable is officially Apple certified - if a manufacturer omits this certification, you can easily save 15 CHF 😅. This certification is called MFI, Apple then earns around 15 CHF per cable... https://www.coolblue.de/beratung/was-ist-apple-mfi-zertifizierung-fuer-kabel.html

Yes, it works with charging, but I have never tried it with data (probably because I have no need for Lighning to USB-C Data) - but I have now tried it especially for you: Iphone 12 on one side (Lightning) and a USB-C plate on the other - doesn't work, I didn't expect it to - but that could also be due to the power. This 2 metre USB-C to Lightning cable is suitable for iPhone 13. The iPhone 13 uses a USB-C to Lightning cable for charging and syncing, and this cable is compatible with these functions. To connect your iPhone 13 to a USB-A port, such as the one in your car, you would need a USB-C to USB-A adapter. An example of a suitable adapter might be the Belkin BOOST↑Charge Pro Flex USB-A to USB-C Cable, mentioned in Apple's documentation.

Helpful answer

Connect your iPhone, iPad or iPod with Lightning connector to your USB-C or Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) enabled Mac to sync and charge. You can also use this cable with an Apple 29W, 30W, 61W or 87W USB-C Power Adapter to charge your iOS device. And even fast charge iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR and select iPad Pro models.

Hello.. The product description only states that you can use the cable up to 87W. Anything below that is therefore irrelevant. The description goes on to say: "And even use the fast charging function on the iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, iPhone X, iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR and selected iPad Pro models." Greetings

at that price it better ;p and it does!! i will buy another as i cannot live without fast-charging any more (the slow cables are just not workable!) - you do need a fast-charging source to plug it into though! a proper wall plug with usb-c port or a laptop high power usb-c port
