I write in English using a Swiss keyboard layout. It is no problems. And, obviously, no problems to write in German using the Swiss keyboard layout. Just switch writing language, not keyboard layout.

If it is really dry: plug it in to charge and try it. If it doesn't work after three days, then I can only give a bad prognosis: The keyboard is probably ruined.

Yes, the Apple Magic Keyboard (MK2A3D/A) is compatible with an iPad. It can be connected to your iPad via Bluetooth and offers a comfortable and precise typing experience. It works especially well if you already have a Smart Cover for your iPad.

Yes, the Apple Magic Keyboard (DE, wireless) with product ID MK2A3D/A is compatible with the iPad Pro. It can be used with iPad models running iPadOS 14.5 or later, and the iPad Pro 13 with M4 processor falls into this category.

Hoi So that I understand correctly: Z is at the top (in front of the row of numbers), Y is in the bottom row? Also, are all the keys you physically see in the right place? If YES: You might have got a different keyboard layout - I assume you are using Mac? Please check as follows: Apple (top left) - Control Panel - Keyboard - Input Source - for me it says "Swiss German" and QWERTZ.... You can adjust this accordingly with Edit. LG
