It has a non-removable battery that is charged with the supplied cable (Ligthning cable, the same as for the iPhone).
You can also use the keyboard with a cable without Bluetooth.
I write in English using a Swiss keyboard layout. It is no problems. And, obviously, no problems to write in German using the Swiss keyboard layout. Just switch writing language, not keyboard layout.
Yes, these Apple products are simply recharged via USB. This has the advantage that you can continue to work with the keyboard via cable when the battery is empty.
If it is really dry: plug it in to charge and try it. If it doesn't work after three days, then I can only give a bad prognosis: The keyboard is probably ruined.
The black version can already be found in our shop: Apple Magic Keyboard with Number Pad (Bluetooth, DE, Wireless)
However, only with DE layout, a CH layout is currently not available in black.
We just added the version: Apple Magic Keyboard mit Ziffernblock (Bluetooth, DE, Kabellos) unfortunately we can just offer the DE-Layout and not the CH-Layout.
This is difficult because the keyboard is Bluetooth.
It may be possible to connect a Bluetooth dongle to the KVM switch.
However, I cannot guarantee that both devices will be able to recognise the dongle/establish a connection.
Apparently, the Space Grey variant will only be available for iMac Pro users.

Yes, the Apple Magic Keyboard (MK2A3D/A) is compatible with an iPad. It can be connected to your iPad via Bluetooth and offers a comfortable and precise typing experience. It works especially well if you already have a Smart Cover for your iPad.
Yes, the Apple Magic Keyboard (DE, wireless) with product ID MK2A3D/A is compatible with the iPad Pro. It can be used with iPad models running iPadOS 14.5 or later, and the iPad Pro 13 with M4 processor falls into this category.
I am not aware of a keyboard case with Apple Pencil supply or did you mean a case for the Ipad mini 6 with supply for the Apple Pencil? Fintech makes good ones.
Hoi
So that I understand correctly: Z is at the top (in front of the row of numbers), Y is in the bottom row? Also, are all the keys you physically see in the right place?
If YES: You might have got a different keyboard layout - I assume you are using Mac?
Please check as follows: Apple (top left) - Control Panel - Keyboard - Input Source - for me it says "Swiss German" and QWERTZ.... You can adjust this accordingly with Edit.

Which keyboard layout - CH or US (international)?
Hello all,
I am about to buy a new macbook pro 2021 with the M1 Max chip. My old macbook pro (2014) has slowly had its day, although it has given excellent service :-).
Now I'm still wavering a bit about the keyboard layout and whether I should go for US (international) or German (CH). Since I work in computer science, many former students have advised me to switch to US because it increases the typing flow. The special characters and operators are also much better and the advantages are even greater for programming work.
Since I live in Switzerland and have to write in German most of the time at work, the CH layout would probably come in handy. However, since I also do some programming and write texts in English, I have now considered switching to the US international layout. My former fellow students in computer science also said that the umlauts can be written quickly with the key combination Shift "a, etc. and that you can also make faster progress when writing texts in German on the US layout.
Do you have any recommendations or your own experiences that could help me make a decision?
Thank you in advance for your support.
