Is there any way to use this thing without FL Studio etc. to just play around on it?

In my case, it was a USB-A for the connection to the PC and a USB-B (this almost square one) on the device itself. So no USB-C at either end. Hope that helps you.

Is it compatible with windows 10? I ask this question because I have the akai mpk mini 2 and since I have windows 10 it does not recognise windows as a proper midi controller and is not ready to use in cubase.
