This affordable push button/switch is perfect for your DIY Arduino projects. When you activate the pull-up resistor on an input of your Arduino, you can connect the button to this input and GND. When the button is not pressed, the signal is at 1; as soon as the button is pressed, the input drops to 0.
Be careful not to apply too much heat or solder for too long, as this can melt the plastic and destroy the button.
