Product details
Polymaker Polycast The PolyCast filament has been specifically developed for the production of investment materials for precision casting. This specialty filament opens up entirely new possibilities in the metal industry. With the PolyCast filament combined with a 3D printer, complex geometries in metal can now be produced that were previously impossible with conventional tools. Another advantage is the associated time and cost savings. The manufacturing of tools usually takes a long time and incurs significant costs. By using the 3D printer, this process can also be eliminated.
Thanks to the high quality of the PolyCast filament, there are no residues during precision casting, preventing damage to the metal part. The PolyCast filament completely dissolves at over 600 °C, leaving a clean mold. To achieve an optimal surface structure, it is recommended to use the Polysher from Polymaker, which smooths the entire component after the printing process.
Advantages of the PolyCast filament:
- Easy to print (comparable to PLA)
- Fast production of metal parts
- Residue-free burnout for precision casting
