Product Overview: Fiberon PET-GF15 has been developed for users who need a stronger material than standard PETG but want to avoid the complexity of high-performance polymers. The addition of glass fibers significantly improves mechanical properties, particularly flexural strength, while ensuring easy processing. It offers an ideal balance between strength and printability.

Mechanical and Thermal Performance: Thanks to its reinforced structure, PET-GF15 achieves a flexural strength of approximately 104 MPa and withstands temperatures up to 133 °C after annealing. This combination of stiffness and heat resistance makes it ideal for applications where structural integrity is crucial. Even after heat treatment, dimensional changes remain minimal, ensuring consistent results in precision parts.

Printing and Processing: Despite the fiber reinforcement, PET-GF15 can be printed evenly on most closed or semi-closed 3D printers. It performs best at a nozzle temperature between 280 °C and 310 °C and a heated bed temperature of 70–80 °C. Cooling is generally not required, as the material benefits from the slow heat dissipation during printing. Due to the abrasive glass fiber content, a hardened nozzle is strongly recommended to avoid wear. The filament should be stored dry, ideally below 20% relative humidity. Annealing is optional but can enhance heat resistance for parts exposed to temperatures above 80 °C.

Surface Quality and Compatibility: Compared to other reinforced filaments, PET-GF15 offers a significantly smoother surface with fewer visible fibers. It is also compatible with AMS and other multi-material systems, enabling efficient workflows that combine strength and aesthetics.
